Harmeet Bawa is Group Senior Vice President and Global Head of Government and Institutional Relations at Hitachi ABB Power Grids. Hitachi ABB Power Grids is a pioneering technology leader with a history of innovation spanning more than 130 years. It has a turnover of around $10 billion and employs about 37,000 people in more than 80 countries around the world. The company delivers products, systems, service and software solutions across the power value chain, and is a partner of choice for enabling a stronger, smarter and greener grid.

Harmeet Bawa joined the ABB Group more than 30 years ago and has served across a range of functions including market and business development, corporate strategy, investor relations and communications. He started with ABB in the UK from where he moved to Sweden and then held responsibilities in India and South Asia.

He joined the company’s Group headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland in 2008 as Head of Market Development for Global Markets and subsequently assumed responsibility for the
Communications function across the company’s Power Products and Power Systems businesses,that later merged into Power Grids. He took over his present role in January 2019.

Harmeet holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction, from
Glasgow Caledonian University, U.K.
