As chief sustainability officer and vice president of Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) for Dow, Mary Draves is passionate about using science, innovation and collaboration to drive transformative and sustainable change. She is responsible for corporate EH&S governance and corporate sustainability, including Dow’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) performance. Under her leadership, Dow is advancing sustainability through bold action and collaborative partnerships.

Draves was instrumental in shaping Dow’s new sustainability targets to address climate protection and advance a circular economy. Building on the 2025 Sustainability Goals, these targets put Dow on a path to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, eliminate plastic waste in the environment and increase positive impacts on society. Draves previously led Dow’s groundbreaking Valuing Nature Goal, which represents the first-ever commitment by a corporation to formally factor nature into its business decisions. Since launching the goal in 2015, the Company has realized more than $500 million of net present value in nature-based decisions. In 2021, Draves was named to Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Council on Climate Solutions.
