Ms. Shahamin S. Zaman is the Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Bangladesh. As an economist with over 25 years of development experience, she has mobilized initiatives both in the public and private sectors. Her professional experience expands from private sector development to policy-level advocacy working in various capacities at Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), DFID, UNDP, CIDA, Ashoka Foundation, and ActionAid International to name a few.
She has expertise in private sector engagement, fundraising, partnership development, international communication, resource mobilization, and social dialogue.
Ms. Zaman has been engaged with the UNGC for several years and was elected Chair of the UNGC Country Network across the Asia Pacific & Oceania Region from 2018 to 2021 for two terms and is instrumental in advancing the sustainability agenda across many local and global organizations.
She has expertise in private sector engagement, fundraising, partnership development, international communication, resource mobilization, and social dialogue.
