The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) provide companies with a holistic roadmap for companies to advance gender equality across the workplace, marketplace and community. The WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool sets a high bar by encouraging businesses to employ a holistic approach to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Each regional spotlight session will focus on the aggregate findings from the WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool, which are published in a report entitled “Women’s Empowerment and Business 2022 Trends and Opportunities: Companies Show Progress Amid Pandemic Challenges Across Regions”. In the APAC regional section, the report focuses on the region’s significant improvements in its commitment to the WEPs and the WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Too,l as well as data showcasing what companies are doing to address equity in the care economy and what gaps exist for further action. This session will shed light on practical steps companies have taken in the region to advance gender equity in the care economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
