Lara Bianchi, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility - University of Nottingham, UK. Her research focuses on women workers’ rights in global value chains. She is an expert at the Rights Lab Beacon of Excellence, the world's leading modern slavery research platform, where she works on meaningful engagement with marginalized stakeholders.
Lara is currently leading two UK-funded research projects that investigate the intersection between gender inequality and conflict dynamics in Mindanao (Philippines) and Peshawar (Pakistan). She recently won a Rising Star for Public Engagement Award for her work with women and NGOs in fragile zones.
