He is an Architect from the Central University of Ecuador with a specialty in Economics, Auditing, Corporate issues and Political Science.
He has extensive experience in the private sector where he has served as a member of important business boards, as well as general manager and administrative manager of companies in the construction and importing sectors. He is also a Postgraduate Professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), and he has directed urban projects and civil works.

He chaired the Ecuadorian Business Committee, the Chamber of Agriculture of the First Zone, the Institute of Agricultural Strategies Foundation, the National Association of Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and the Council of Chambers and Associations of Production.

In the public sector, he was Executive Director of the National Council for Modernization of the State (CONAM), in addition to being elected to the National Assembly, Vice President of the National Assembly and fourth member of the Legislative Administration Council, positions from which he encouraged, through legislative projects, private entrepreneurship and the reduction of the number of procedures for the establishment of a company.

He took on the challenge of leading the Ministry of Labor with the aim of guaranteeing labor rights and quality jobs.
