Previously, he served as Vice Minister of Finance of Tajikistan and Vice Chairman of the Central Bank, where he led negotiations with international financial institutions, expanded foreign investment, and modernized the banking system. Umed holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Finance from Arizona State University.
