Andres Rodriguez is the Agricultural Attaché of Chile to the United States and Canada, based in Washington, DC, since September 2019.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Diego Portales University (Chile), a master’s degree in marketing from Griffith University (Queensland, Australia), two Postgraduate Certificates from the University of Chile in International Business and Relationship Marketing, and a Certification on Sustainable Agricultural Land Management at the University of Florida.

He has developed an extensive background in agribusiness over the past 20 years.

He entered the agricultural sector when he was appointed as the US and Latin America Marketing Manager for the Chilean Fresh Fruit Exporters Association. He also served for a decade as president of the Chilean Walnut Commission and as the executive director of Chile Prunes.

Before relocating to the US for his current role, he served as the Country Manager in Chile for the Produce Marketing Association (PMA), which is now known as the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA).

In volunteer-advocacy roles in Chile, he also served as a Board Member of the National Society of Agriculture (SNA) and at the Food Export Council of Chile. In the United States, in 2024, his peers from all the foreign embassies in the US, appointed him as the Dean of the international community of Agricultural Attachés in Washington, DC.
