Alimkhan is an environmental and climate activist with extensive experience in public environmental monitoring and youth engagement in decision-making processes. He is pursuing a degree in Environmental Science. He is the founder of Climate for Us, a youth climate organization that has mobilized and empowered over 700 young people through educational initiatives and climate action projects. Alimkhan coordinated the Regional Conference of Youth on Climate Change for Central Asia and Afghanistan 2024 (RCOY CA 2024) in the lead-up to UNFCCC COP29, where he represented Kazakhstan as a youth delegate and speaker at the UN Global Compact Pavilion. He is also a member of the national working group on updating Kazakhstan’s NDC 3.0 and organized the National Youth Climate Conference of Kazakhstan in 2025, engaging 130 participants. In 2025, he was appointed as a member of the Steering Committee of the Children and Youth Pavilion at UNFCCC COP30. Alimkhan has successfully completed several international training programmes, including the Global Leadership Development Programme (Coventry University, UK), From Start-up to Success (Hong Kong University), and Aarhus Convention: A Tool for Environmental Protection (Kazakhstan).
