After a twenty-year career in the marketing of large and distinguished multinationals operating in the publishing, entertainment, and energy sectors – reaching the position of Marketing Director – Bernacchi continued her professional experience in the non-profit sector. For 12 years, until February 2019 she has been CEO of two leading Italian NGOs, namely WeWorld and Cesvi, focusing on humanitarian and development programs. She was also member of the Board of «Alliance2015», a network which brings together 8 European NGOs operating in 89 countries. Since September 2019 she is Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Italy, the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative in the world. From 2021 to 2023 she sat in the Sustainabiluty advisory Board (SAB) of Edison focus being energy and just transition. Since November 22 she is Independent Board Member at Snam Foundation
