To deliver a meaningful impact on the 2030 Agenda and respond to the minimum expectations for responsible business conduct, companies should implement human rights due diligence (HRDD) with a clear focus on the people most affected by business activities. Using scenarios and role-plays, this immersive session will challenge participants to “make it real” and deepen their understanding of effective rightsholder engagement, exploring how to understand human rights risks through a rightsholder lens. Grounded in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the session will offer practical insights on how companies are operationalizing HRDD and highlight the importance of engaging meaningfully with affected stakeholders.
